New Trier freshman rallied together Oct. 3, decked out in the school colors, before the homecoming football game against the Evanston Wildkits.

Glencoe Trevian Homecoming took place Aug. 23 at Central School, with a full day of football games pitting Trevian teams against those of Chicago Heights, plus a punt, kick and pass competition, a silent auction, a raffle for sports tickets and carnival rides and games.

The Winnetka Firecracker 5k Run was held June 28, drawing more than 130 runners, according to a count from Park District Recreation Coordinator Laura Hebel.

Sitting firmly on their bike seats with their helmets strapped onto their heads, kids rode through obstacle courses to test their riding skills at the annual Winnetka Bike Rodeo May 22.

With paddles and canoes strapped to the tops of their cars, people from all over the country and all corners of Illinois headed to the Oak Spring Road Canoe Launch in Libertyville, Ill. for the 51st Annual Des Plaines River Canoe Marathon.
