Since tests have confirmed the presence of fish-killing Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia (VHS) in the Lake County waters of Lake Michigan, the Lake County Health Department and the Lake County Forest Preserves are urging recreational anglers and boaters to follow emergency regulations set by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
