Press release courtesy of Vernon Hills High School

Vernon Hills High School will present a program that demonstrates the tragic results that can occur when a person uses alcohol or other drugs.

The crash re-enactment is being planned in cooperation with area police and fire departments, Condell Medical Center, the Lake County Coroner’s Office, and Vernon Hills High School students and staff. The assembly will bring home the message that indulging in risky behaviors can produce senseless tragedy. The goal of the program is for students to carry this message with them as they celebrate prom, graduation, and the end of the school year, and make wise decisions and stay safe.

The program is for all juniors and seniors, and will be held in the junior parking lot (near the football stadium). For further information, please contact VHHS Student Assistance Program Coordinator Margaret Pither at 847-932-2158.
