Planning to take a day off on Feb. 1, I could not have imagined we would get hit with a snow storm. My plans had to be altered. So, taking a walk outside with the dog, who had no problem trekking through the snow, I spotted our resident Great Blue Heron. What he/she is doing here in winter, I don't know.
