The 2008 graduating class of Highland Park High School, along with family and friends, attended commencement ceremonies May 28.

The preliminary rounds of the Highland Park middle school Gaming Tournament were played at the Firehouse Youth Center on Green Bay Road May 15.

Weather experts have been calling this winter's snowfall the heaviest for the region in 20, but no matter how bad the weather becomes there are still people that have to go to work outdoors. Such was the case Feb. 26 when after another heavy overnight snowstorm, workers were outside getting the job done.

The Firehouse Youth Center in Highland Park is a place where middle school kids can study, participate in programs, play games or just hang out with friends after school. But several times each year the Firehouse stays open late to throw special dance parties for the kids, and Feb. 8 was one of those times.

Families, friends and neighbors gathered in Highwood for an annual Pancake Breakfast & Raffle organized by the St. James School Booster Club.
