Sailboats race across the water as their crew mans the sails from shore. More than 10 model sailboats, controlled by the Chicago Radio Controlled Sailing Club, skimmed through the lake at the Waterside Terrace on the Esplanade at the Chicago Botanic Garden Sept. 7.
The threat of foul weather moved the event from the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden indoors to Nichols Hall, but the final "Grapes & Hops" gathering of 2008 drew more than 200 guests to the Chicago Botanic Garden to sample a variety of wines and beers.
