Jeff Libman, Singer-Songwriter
Jeff is a late night Highland Parker who actually grew up right here in Highland Park. You’ll find him in a variety of venues and band configurations including The Three Troubadours and the Ravens, but he plays mostly solo for Late Nite HP.
A product of Chicago’s famed Old Town School of Folk Music, Jeff music weaves folk, pop, and soul sensibilities through his acoustic guitar driven songs. What you won’t be able to glean from his latest CD, december wave, is his infectious performance style.
It seems he can’t take a stage without inviting someone else from the audience to pick up a drum, a guitar or a microphone and change the dynamic of his show. Expect the unexpected. Whether it’s poignant ballads, political commentary folk songs, kids songs or foot-stomping high energy rhythms, there’s something for everyone.
