Hundreds of babies are delivered every year at Lake Forest Hospital. Once each year, the hospital wants them all back.

The 66th annual Baby Alumni celebration, sponsored by the Women's Board of Lake Forest Hospital, was held July 9 on the hospital front lawn. Invitations were sent out to the families of babies born at the hospital over the past four years to enjoy a morning of free rides, games and activities, plus refreshments provided by McDonald's and Divino Gelato of Grayslake.

Board president Laura Skinner of Lake Forest estimates the event was attended by more than 1,000 people, including more than 300 of the invited babies.

"It's just a thank you back to the families of all the babies born at the hospital," Skinner said.
