This anthology of films — 20 films in two hours — covers so many styles and subjects, it is hard to describe, except to say that it pays tribute to Paris, both the real city (and its attendant social problems) and the Paris of fantasy, of our dreams. The directors form a who’s who of global cinema and include Oliver Assayas, Alfonso Cuarón, Tom Tykwer, Nobuhiro Suwa, Alexander Payne and the Coen Brothers.
