Authorities host Child Seatbelt Safety Day

From the Pioneer Press, Illinois Tollway Authority and Illinois State Police:

Did you know that nationally, 80 percent of the child safety seats are installed incorrectly? Getting it done right may help insure your child’s survival in an accident.

The Illinois Tollway Authority and Illinois State Police are conducting a child safety seat day that is being sponsored and hosted by Pioneer Press.

Police officers and trained technicians will be on hand to inspect and re-install seats for free on Saturday, August 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pioneer Press’s Glenview Office parking lot which is located at 3701 West Lake Street (across from Glenbrook South High School).

Free refreshments by Starbucks and kid craft-making activities by Kohl Children’s Museum will be provided.
