The Northfield Branch Library hosted a "build your own catapult" event at 7 p.m. June 25 for children in grades 5-8.

Debbie Kushnir, program coordinator, said the activity was a part of the summer children's reading program theme, Camelot. Her husband, Israel Kushnir, showed the group of 12 how to construct the wooden catapult and soon, the excited bunch was launching mini paper cannons from their contraptions.
