Librarians at the Glencoe Public Library invited children ages 4 and up to the annual Pet Parade Aug. 16. Dogs, cats, sea monkeys, stuffed animals and one very shy turtle paraded around the outside of the library with their owners. After the parade, the children took photos with their pets, received certificates and awards.

Braving the rainy weather, as well as some mud, dogs and their owners participated in Mimi's March April 12 in Winnetka.

President's Day gave area children the chance to stop by the Glencoe Public Library for dog show. Robin's Dog Stars, based out of Lake Villa, made a stop at the library for two shows.

Santa Claus, age approx. 1,743, of the North Pole stopped in at Winter Wonderland at the Glen Town Center Dec. 16 to pose for pictures with pets.
