Local Children’s clothing Retailer raising donations for Connections for Abused Women and their Children formerly, Chicago Abused Women Coalition
Highland Park, IL –
The new designer children’s warehouse boutique is offering a 15% coupon for each item donated to the women’s shelter on their wish list.
It’s a wonderful charity to work with, especially since many families do not know what or where to donate to these shelters. They are not typically publicized in part due to the secrecy of their locations to help keep women and their children safe.
CAWC Connections for Abused Women and their Children Formerly, Chicago Abused Women Coalition, is committed to ending domestic violence. Using a self-help, empowerment approach, they provide a shelter for women and children, and counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline for people affected by domestic violence. They work for social change through education, service collaboration and institutional advocacy.
Bring in the following items to North Shore Kidz the July 9- July 23 and receive 15% off coupon in exchange for each item. Coupons will be good for the month of July, in store only. If you would like to make a financial donation you can pay regular or sale price for your clothing and 20% of your purchase will go to the shelter instead.
Just a few of the items needed are:
Diapers – especially large sizes 4, 5, 6
Training Diapers/pull ups as well.
Baby blankets, bibs, new bottles.
Baby wipes, lotions, shampoos, soaps

As we get closer to school time – they also have a long list of school supplies that are needed – not the least of which are back packs/school bags, lunch boxes, etc.
